Chats like a friend
Two brains: a quick one for everyday talk and a heavy one for coding. She thinks for a moment before she answers, so she actually answers what you asked.
Private. Local. Yours.
A companion who lives on your own computer. She chats, talks out loud, sees the window you show her, helps with your files, and takes calls. On your own PC, nothing you say ever leaves it.
Free. Windows 10 or 11. No account.

Ring her and just talk. She ignores background noise, keeps replies short, can tell different voices apart, and stops when someone talks over her.
Share one window and she looks at it. Never your whole screen, never password or payment windows.
She can read and edit notes and code, only in folders you choose. Windows folders, keys and programs are always off limits.
She can search the web and check sources, and you can switch searching off whenever you like.
She runs on a PC, not in a company's cloud. Your own copy keeps your chats on your own machine. If you use her through someone else's PC, that owner can read those chats, and sign-up tells you so first.
The phone app is a web app. It installs straight from your browser, with no app store, and it works on iPhone and Android. She runs on the home PC, so you need the owner's OK the first time.
Open the phone app and make an account with a username and password. You'll be asked to agree that your chats are saved and your connection address is logged.
The owner lets your account in once. You'll see a waiting screen until they do. You can have up to 3 chats.
iPhone: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
Android: tap Install app (or the menu, then Install).
Up to 2 people can talk to her at once. Everyone else waits in line, and you can see your place. The owner's own use of her always comes first.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Installs just for you, no admin needed.

Connect to A.M's PC is the easy one. It needs no AI on your PC: she runs on the home PC and your copy connects to it (you'll need the owner's OK).
Standalone runs entirely on your own PC. You also need Ollama and the two AI models installed. Better for privacy and speed if your PC can handle it.
Windows may say the app is from an unknown publisher, because it isn't code-signed. Choose More info, then Run anyway. To check you got the genuine file, compare its fingerprint (SHA-256) with the one shown here.
